We are located 45 minutes east of Austin on Hwy 290.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy swimming in the 52&#8242; pool, playing basketball, taking hikes, caring for animals or drop a line in the pond to see how quick a fish snatches the hook. We have chosen to complete this peer review process and meet the requirements for accreditation<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/center>\n\n\n\n<p>Ranch Camp is great for youth and adults 13 years and over, who are looking for a unique, safe and fun camping experience. Average age of campers is 35, with Campers ranging between 13 and 78. Campers who do well at Ranch Camp enjoy group activities and the hustle and bustle of camp life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Campers have a range of cognitive disabilities including Traumatic Brain Injury, Genetic Disorders, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, IDD and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We operate within ratios of 1 counselor to 5 campers, but never go higher than 1 counselor to 10 campers. Teen camps are operated at a slightly lower ratio of 1:4, never going higher than a 1:8. Both overnight and day camps are offered throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the camper receives services through a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhs.texas.gov\/providers\/long-term-care-providers\/local-idd-authority-lidda\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Local Intellectual and Development Disability Authority (LIDDA)<\/a> formally known as MHMR; the cost of camp can be<a href=\"https:\/\/dhr.tiltedchair.co\/ranch-camp\/#pay\"> subsidized or covered 100%<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:55px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"summercamp\">Summer Camp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sunday between 2p &amp; 5p through Friday at 10am; week-long overnight camp.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monday through Thursday Day Camp options are available for those who do not wish to stay overnight &#8211; please inquire at camp@dhr.tiltedchair.co. class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\"><strong><em>Down Home Ranch is currently accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). Respite through Texas Medicaid waiver programs can be used to pay for camp. <\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Respite Funding Per Session<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is your service coordinator asking how many hours need to be authorized for camp? Many HCS Medicaid Waiver programs have an hourly rate, with a max of 10hrs paid daily.
