{"id":282,"date":"2010-05-11T16:52:00","date_gmt":"2010-05-11T16:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dhr.tiltedchair.co\/2010\/05\/11\/rebekahs-smile-ii\/"},"modified":"2010-05-11T16:52:00","modified_gmt":"2010-05-11T16:52:00","slug":"rebekahs-smile-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dhr.tiltedchair.co\/?p=282","title":{"rendered":"Rebekah&#8217;s Smile II"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, I promised Rebekah I&#8217;d put a tune to &#8220;Rebekah&#8217;s Smile,&#8221; the poem I wrote her last year for her 25th birthday.&nbsp; You might recall she asked me about it after Kelly and I sang to her on her 26th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>But I couldn&#8217;t come up with a tune, and then Rebekah&#8217;s dad, Fr. John, told me that some of his parishioners at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stfrancisonline.org\/\">St. Francis<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stfrancisonline.org\/newsletter.pdf\">Janie Stein and Martin Bates<\/a>,&nbsp;were working on putting the poem to music, so I desisted my efforts to see what came of theirs.<\/p>\n<div style=\"border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_Xp3XgAulJbI\/S-mJmr8CO1I\/AAAAAAAAAKg\/F30SCpenDYU\/s1600\/Rebekah+St.+Francis.jpg\" style=\"clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"150\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_Xp3XgAulJbI\/S-mJmr8CO1I\/AAAAAAAAAKg\/F30SCpenDYU\/s200\/Rebekah+St.+Francis.jpg\" tt=\"true\" width=\"200\" \/><\/a>A few Sundays ago they were ready to debut the song, so I trundled over to College Station for the morning service, which was delightful.&nbsp; (If you ever have a chance to hear Fr.
